CA: Fresno supervisor uses hysteria, public profanity and threats to evict “sex offenders he doesn’t care about”

FRESNO, Calif. (KGPE) – Fresno County is considering a change to the law to deal with issues linked to two homes providing housing for convicted sex offenders.

The homes are located in Fresno’s Old Fig Garden neighborhood, at the corner of Palm and Gettysburg. Garry Bredefeld, who represents that area on the Fresno County Board of Supervisors, says he’s heard from homeowners worried for their safety – and their children’s safety.

“During the campaign, when I was walking the precincts, interacting with people in the Fig Garden, they shared with me about this,” said Bredefeld.

“So clearly they’re very concerned, as most people would be if you had a lot of sex offenders living near you.”

From the article:
“I don’t really care at all about these [derogatory label]. I care about these neighbors.”

“Everything is on the table, we will be meeting again in another week, our county counsel is looking at all the laws that are available, what other counties have done, and we will come up with something that will hold them accountable.”

Once out of custody, PFR’s are supposed to be free citizens and have equal rights. When a representative of Fresno County Board of Supervisors, Garry Bredefeld, stated the above quote, it is evidence that an official of the state is categorizing PFR’s as second class citizens as well as openly targeting PFR’s to harass and banish them from living situations. This is a form of open retribution, and retribution is punishment.

And how did Bredefeld find these PFR’s to harass and then banish? The registry.

I think we need to work on our messaging a bit. I feel like something along the lines of “The vast majority of people arrested for crimes of a sexual nature COMPLETELY stop criminal sexual offending immediately after their arrest and pose no more risk to their neighbors than anyone else” works pretty well. Maybe add “Despite what some politicians claim…” to it.

At least this guy’s pretty much bigoted towards, everybody. He hates blacks, gays, Mexicans, Jews just everybody. He is a consummate bigot. No minority is spared.

So the “issues” that concern Garry are code violations and what people are gossiping about as he ‘walks’ the precincts.🤭But not once did he mention a woman breaking into a home and opening fire with a semi-automatic weapon😲And I’m not so sure the supervisor didn’t put her up to it.

Sounds like this guy should be kicked out of office and banished from office due to his inability to all people even those he doesn’t care for.

I just emailed the county supervisor and let him know these people have supporters and have a right to live somewhere as anyone should

The sheriff said that they’d had multiple calls to those homes and made arrests but all he says about PFRs is that they “came into contact” with them. That means the problem wasn’t with them and they just happened to be living at the scene of a crime.

Why isn’t anybody mentioning the fact that it is not just PFRs but people who have addictions or were just released from prison? Am I missing the point? There have been shootings heard coming form those houses, and they are called there more than any other homes? Who’s is doing the shooting, and who are the people responsible for cops having to show up? I don’t see that it is strictly PFRs?
